Privacy

The site

Tunghlwm is a small collection of browser games, run as a personal project. Playing doesn't require an account or any personal details — the games are meant to be opened, played and closed.

What the site doesn't do

• No account needed to play.
• No cookies unless you sign in.
• No selling or sharing of visitor data.
• No cross-site tracking.

Accounts

Accounts are optional. Everything on the site can be played without one, and nothing here ever asks for a password.

If you choose to sign in with Google, the site stores your email address and the profile picture from your Google account. It doesn't store your name: your first name is used once, to suggest a username, and then discarded. Signing in also sets a cookie on tunghlwm.com and one on play.tunghlwm.com, so the site recognises you on your next visit. Both stop working when you sign out.

Your username is how you appear to everyone — on ratings, comments, leaderboards, your profile, your friends list and in games. You can change it from your account page. Other signed-in players can find you by searching for it; you can turn that off from your profile, and your friends will still see you.

Your Google picture isn't shown to anyone unless you turn on "Show my Google picture" on your profile. Your email address is never shown to anyone else.

While you're signed in, the site also keeps:

• Friends — who you've added, and requests you've sent or received.
• Online play — other players in an online match, and anyone watching it, see your username. What the game sends during the match, chat included, is deleted when the match ends — unless someone reports a player, in which case the match's recent chat is kept with the report. The site keeps an overall daily count of online play.
• Looking for a game — if you choose to be listed in a game as looking for one, other players listed in that game see your username, your profile picture if you show one, and your rating there unless you hide ratings. You're off the list when you leave the game.
• Ratings — in rated games, your rating and win/loss record are kept and shown on leaderboards, and on your profile unless you hide them there.
• Reports and blocks — if you report someone, moderators see the report; the person you reported never sees who sent it. The players you've blocked are kept until you unblock them.
• Account standing — if moderators restrict your account, what they did and why is kept and shown to you on your account page.
• Game invites — invites friends send you, so one sent while you're away is still there when you're back. Each is kept for up to 7 days, or until you dismiss it.
• Online status — whether you're online and which game you're in, shown only to your friends. You can appear offline from your profile.
• Playtime — how long you've played each game, counted only while the game's tab is visible. You can hide it from your profile.
• Game progress — saves, achievements and scores that games store on your account, so they follow you between devices.

You can delete your account whenever you like from your account page. That removes your account, your sign-in details, everything listed above and anything you've posted. Bug reports you've sent are kept without your name, so the bug can still be fixed.

Analytics

Visits are measured with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and privacy-first. It reports aggregate numbers — page views, referrers, rough country — and does not identify individual visitors or follow them across other sites.

Games

Playing as a guest, games store progress or settings in your browser's local storage, on the play domain. That data stays on your device and can be cleared at any time from your browser settings. Signed in, a game can save to your account instead (see above). Games linked from elsewhere run on their own sites and are covered by their own privacy policies.

Advertising

The site doesn't show ads. If that changes, this page will say so — including how consent works — before the first one appears.

Changes

If what the site collects ever changes, this page will be updated before that happens.
